TBC Compass is for the "other side" of the business. Compass is a web based application which comprises several "modules."
The primary element of Compass is a client demographics and client records system. This highly customizable base supports several hundred fields of information about each client. The base system also provides supplemental tables of contacts and medical service providers. A client can have any number of contacts (friends, family, external support individuals) and any number of medical service providers. The base system provides a revision based plan system providing word-processor-like editing of multiple fields and storing each revision of the plan for recall and review. The base system also provides "trackers" for things like weight, BM, seizures, etc.
The second module is accident and incident management. This client-centered system provides for categorization of incidents and tracking them through follow up and through internal investigations, if necessary. The system provides for tracking reporting of incidents to external agencies and for review and approval of incident records by multiple departments within the agency (for example, nursing, psych, QA and management.) The system provides extended details for med-errors, and provides the ability to fill in and track a body chart to document injuries and illnesses.
The third module is a nursing management module providing for complete nursing note management for each client and nursing plan-of-care management on a per-diagnosis basis.
The fourth module is a census-based attendance module. This is distinct from GAT's time-and-attendance based model where time-in and time-out are required for each different activity along with production and pay rate information. The census based attendance is more appropriate for residential programs and for grant-based activity programs where a simple presence or absence is recorded. Billing information can be stored with a client's records and attendance based billing can be generated.
The fifth module in the system is a service-goals system for tracking goals relating to services to be provided to clients, for instance a goal of thrice-annual dental health checkups can be set, the goal system can track when appointments are made, when they are kept, and report the agencies results in meeting those goals.
The sixth module in the system is a client-behavior goals system. This module supports recording goals for either the production or elimination of behaviors and tracking their incidence and frequency. Reports detailing the goals, the incidence of the behavior and frequency graphs with phase bars indicating changes in the plan are supported.
The seventh module, currently under development and due for release in mid 2008 is training goals and objectives. Like the behavior system, the module will support full-text development of goals and report them, but the scoring for training objectives measures percentage independence in achieving the training goal.
By the way. did we mention that we are HIPAA Compliance Capable?
